The excitement builds as Tasting Games heads to the second round…

The first B.C. Tasting Games tournament took place on April 23rd at Terrafina Restaurant in Oliver, BC. On stage, Severine Pinte, winemaker at Le Vieux Pin and La Stella took on David Paterson, general manager and winemaker at Tantalus, and Wes Hunter, the beverage manager from Raudz Creative Concepts.

Starting this month in Sicily, our sommelier Matthew Landry has curated a diverse selection of wines befitting the diverse topographies and microclimates of Italy’s largest island. Chef Carlos Rodriguez, meanwhile, will be pairing each wine with updated takes on regional favourites.

BC Hospitality Foundation Accepting Sommelier Scholarship Applications

The BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is pleased to announce that it will accept applications for its 2019 Sommelier Scholarships. In February the charity will award 10 Sommelier Scholarships of $1,000 each. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2019.
